To use Speedtest.net, all you need is a modern web browser with Adobe Flash installed. Google Chrome includes a version of this plugin already, while you can download it for other browsers from Adobe's site. You do not need to install any other software to use Speedtest.net, and it runs completely within your browser on Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux.

Java is not required for Speedtest.net. However, it is required to use our sister-site Pingtest.net.
